We are broadly interested in understanding:
1) how do aquatic ecosystems process water and nutrients?
2) how is that capacity altered by local land use and global climate change?
3) can current and emerging management tools reverse or restore lost functions?
Our research seeks to elucidate the mechanisms underlying ecosystem response to human accelerated environmental change in an effort to forecast the consequences and adapt to an uncertain future.
If you are interested in joining us as a graduate student please look through the website and then send Marcelo an email with your CV and research interests.
